What these cover

These terms apply to the website at animystlab.com, run by Animyst Lab in Los Angeles, California. By using the site you agree to them. The ventures we build with founders are governed by separate written agreements, and where the two differ, that agreement wins.

Using the site

The site is here to tell you what we do and to let you get in touch. You may read it, link to it, and share it. You may not:

• Copy the site or its contents for use elsewhere, other than quoting a line with attribution.
• Scrape it, probe it, or try to interfere with how it runs.
• Send spam, automated submissions, or anything unlawful through the contact form.
• Submit someone else's personal information without their permission.

Enquiries and ideas

Sending a message through the contact form, or talking with our intake, is an enquiry, not a partnership. We are not obliged to reply or to take on any venture, and nothing we say before a signed agreement is advice you should rely on. Any partnership we agree to is set out in writing, with its terms, before it starts.

Our intake is software. It asks about your work so that the people who would build it arrive with a plan, and a person reads everything before anyone replies. It does not advise you, judge whether something can be built, or agree anything on our behalf, and nothing it writes binds us.

We read every idea sent to us, however it reaches us, and we see many. Sending one does not make it confidential, and it does not stop us working on something similar that we were already building or that reaches us separately. If an idea needs protecting before we talk, say so, in the conversation or the form, and we will agree terms first.

Ownership

The words, design, and code of this site belong to Animyst Lab. The Animyst name and any marks on the site are ours. The names and marks of the ventures shown belong to those ventures. Nothing here grants you a licence to use any of them beyond reading and sharing the site.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available, but we make no promise that it is either, and we may change it or take it down at any time without notice.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Animyst Lab is not liable for any loss that comes from using this site or relying on anything on it, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Other sites

If the site links to another site, that link is for your convenience. We do not control other sites and are not responsible for what is on them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about them will be heard in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, and you agree to that venue.

Changes

When these terms change we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
