Who we are

Animyst Lab is an AI venture studio in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers the website at animystlab.com. It does not cover the ventures we build with founders, which have their own terms.

What we collect

Four things.

• What you send through the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message.
• What you tell our intake, if you start a conversation on the site: everything you write in it, the notes our intake takes from it about the venture, your part in it, and where the work stands, and then your name, your email address, and optionally your venture name and phone number. The conversation is held in your browser while it runs and sent to us when you ask for the summary. If you close the tab before then, nothing reaches us.
• Aggregate traffic, through Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies. Each view records the page, the referring site, an approximate location from the request, and the device, browser, and operating system type. Visits are de-duplicated with a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours. The data is not tied to your IP address and cannot identify you or follow you to other sites.
• What any web server records when a page is requested: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visit, and when. Our host keeps these logs for security and reliability.

What we do not collect

The site sets no cookies. It runs no advertising pixels, builds no profile of you, and does not fingerprint your browser. The fonts are served from our own host, so no request goes to a third party when a page loads. If that changes, this policy will change first.

A conversation with our intake is held in your own browser's session storage while it runs, so a reload does not lose it. It is cleared when the summary is sent, and when you close the tab.

How we use it

We use what you send through the form to reply to you, to understand the idea you are asking about, and to keep a record of the conversation. We use traffic counts to see which pages are read. We use server logs to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

A conversation with our intake is used for the same thing: to arrive at a reply with a plan rather than a list of questions. A person reads all of it. We do not use it to train any model, and neither does the provider that runs the intake for us.

Who handles it for us

A small number of providers process data on our behalf, and only to do their job.

• Vercel hosts the site, keeps the server logs, and runs the traffic measurement.
• Anthropic runs the model behind our intake. What you write in a conversation is sent to them to produce the next question and, at the end, the summary. They do not train on it.
• Resend delivers contact form submissions and intake summaries to our inbox and to you, and keeps a delivery record.
• Our email provider stores the messages once they arrive.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages, and the transcript and summary of an intake conversation, for as long as the conversation with you is live and for any partnership that follows it. If you ask us to delete either, we will, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason. Traffic counts are aggregate and keep no record of you. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period and then discarded.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request from the home page and we will act on it within thirty days.

If you are in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the data protection laws there give you similar rights, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

The site is for founders and the people who work with them. It is not directed at anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change matters to how we handle something you have already sent us, we will make that clear at the top.
